The Dugout Drive-Thru Convenience Store was he and Becky’s dream, he worked hard to make that dream come true right here in his home town community of Elk City, Oklahoma. On February 1, 2005 this dream came true and the Dugout was opened for business. Dennis and Becky raised their children in this Elk City. Dennis never missed any family events and showed unconditional support to his wife, and children in everything they took on in life. He was passionate about wanting to make changes to our great state and support our teachers.
Storm Chasing was another of his passions, whenever a storm was brewing, we could always count on him to let us know to take cover. He was a member of the Western Oklahoma Storm Chasers. Dennis would volunteer to help anyone, anytime which was shown on May 3, 1999 when Oklahoma was hit by a tornado and he helped by coordinating the relief effort in Western Oklahoma.
Dennis was passionate about many things, his show hogs being one of those things. He would talk hogs to anyone that would listen. He and Becky were the proud owners and operators of Dugger Family Showpigs. He enjoyed helping anyone with their hogs that asked even complete strangers. Oklahoma State University Sports being another, to say he was an avid fan is an understatement.
Dennis inspired many people and even though his time here was short he touched many lives. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. His love for his family was unmatched and he always put them first.
