Obituary for Edna Mae Teague

Edna Mae (Johnson) Teague, 87, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on October 28th, 1932 in Beaver County Oklahoma to Ed and Hazel (Young) Johnson. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 15th, 2019 at Elkwood Assisted Living Center in Elk City, Oklahoma. She married, Willard Eldon Teague on January 28th, 1951 in Hammond, Oklahoma.

Edna loved the Lord and serving others. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God, in Elk City. She taught missionettes, Sunday school, and served meals on wheels for Elk City residence. Enjoyed sewing, traveling, and gathering with lady friends to play cards.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the First Assembly of God Church, 2701 S. Randall Ave., Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing her memory is her, brother Eugene Edward Johnson of Purcell, Oklahoma; two daughters, Shirley Jean Teague, and Jeanne Lynn (Teague)Henry of Elk City, Oklahoma; one nephew, Eddie Keith Johnson and his wife Rhonda (Blair) Johnson of Bedford, Texas; one niece, Tammi Gwen Johnson of Purcell, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Christina Lynn (Moore) Hunsicker and her husband Andrew Hunsicker of Wylie, Texas, Brittnea Nickole Henry of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Laramie Eldon Teague of Elk City, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Camille Trahan IV, Bryson Andrew Hunsicker, Genée Cathrynn Trahan, Kiersten Anzonetta Hunsicker, all of Wylie Texas, Cheyenne Taylor McDowell, and Hunter Lee McDowell both of Catoosa Oklahoma; one great niece, Stefani Brynn Johnson of Purcell, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Eldon Teague; parents, Ed and Hazel (Young) Johnson; daughter, Trela Sue Teague; brother in law, Wildon Teague; sister in law, Jonnie Faye (Lowe) Johnson.

The Family would like to thank, Shirley Ann Anderson, Michelle (Habekott) Morgan, Nicole Hicks, Angie Sims, Jade Washington, and Cheryl Simpson, for loving our Edna, as their own and taking such tender care of her. A special thanks to Lee Anderson. We our eternally grateful for people like you.
