Obituary for Kennith Dale Baker

Kennith Dale Baker, 70, of Hammon, Oklahoma, was born on April 21, 1949 to Hinton Clark and Nellie Elnore (Welch) Baker. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his residence in Hammon, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.
He graduated from Butler High School in 1969. He served in the United State Air Force receiving an Honorable Discharge. He married Geraldine Faye Noblit on May 18, 1971 in Vernon, Texas.
Kennith went to work for the Roger Mills County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy in 1992 and retired as the Under Sherriff in 2012. During his time at the Sherriff’s Office he served on the Bi-County Drug task Force. He also drove a truck for Dewayne Roark with Farmers Supply for many years until his recent retirement. He enjoyed working and driving his truck.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Community Fellowship Church, Hammon, Oklahoma. Dolan Ivey will officiate. Interment will be at Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his wife Gerri Baker of Hammon, Oklahoma, son Bryan Lee Baker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Bryant Eugene Baker of Harrah, Oklahoma, Rex Arlan Baker of Butler, Oklahoma, Danny Mike Baker of Elk City, Oklahoma; Four sisters, Opal Pauline Martin of Mustang, Oklahoma, Evelyn Jewell Upchurch of Yukon, Oklahoma, Lucille Maxine Kelly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vinta Joelene Gills of Sanford, North Carolina, Vera Kay Stout of Hammon, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kaira Streeter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lanney Elizabeth Baker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two adopted grandchildren, C.J. Hardin and Evan Hardin both of College Station, Texas.
Preceded in death by his parents, Hinton and ”Nellie”; two sisters Marsha and Gladys, five brothers, Hinton, Jimmie, Olen, Roy and Homer.
